Ardelt is a company with great tradition. Founded in 1902, the Ardelt works manufactured slewing cranes, mobile cranes and railway cranes as well as portal cranes already in the 1930ies. We are specialised in designing and manufacturing highly efficient slewing cranes and gantry cranes. We are the world market leader in the field of double jib level luffing cranes.

We are looking at short notice for an employee with the following qualification:

MECHANICAL SITE MANAGER (M/F/D)

MECHANICAL SITE MANAGER (M/F/D)

Your duties:

  • Preparing the construction site with the help of drawings, parts lists, technical documents, assembly instructions, and individual contracts concluded with subcontractors and external companies
  • Equipping the assembly site and intermediate storage of parts in accordance with local conditions. Execution and supervision of activities when shipments arrive at their destination by road or waterway
  • Taking personal responsibility for performing and supervising complex assembly work in all areas, as well as conducting repairs on major construction sites in Germany and abroad. Where necessary, taking personal responsibility for problem-solving in consultation with the assembly management team
  • Coordinating assembly work throughout the entire period of construction
  • Providing support during commissioning work and instructing the crane operating staff
  • Clearing the construction site and returning assembly equipment


What we are looking for:

  • Successful completion of vocational training as a manufacturing / industrial / construction mechanic, or similar training
  • Good knowledge of how to handle technical documents
  • You will feel comfortable with the use of routine MS Office applications and have experience in the use of merchandise management systems
  • Good knowledge of written and spoken English; additional languages desirable (e.g. Russian)
  • Willingness to travel anywhere in the world; good head for heights
  • Ability to grasp unfamiliar concepts and to work in a structured way
  • Good communication and cooperation skills, team spirit, self-reliant approach to work, resilience, commitment to the task in hand and flexibility
